Our Vision: What We Dream of When We Sleep
To enable millions of engineers to keep up with JavaScript by building the principal destination for short-form developer mobile video carefully designed to spark joy and alleviate JavaScript fatigue.

Spark joy and alleviate JavaScript fatigue

At the core of the dream when we sleep isn't horrid nightmares but a vision of a world where JavaScript fatigue is alleviated.

If we went to bed all drunk, forgetting the harsh realities of the world for a moment, then maybe we'd see a world where JavaScript fatigue is gone completely. However, we realise that that's a near-impossible feat. No one can truly eradicate JavaScript fatigue. However, alleviating JavaScript fatigue is possible. With diligent research and a carefully designed product, we'll prove it is.

At Devcher, we believe learning should be fun and effective.

While alleviating JavaScript is the core of our dream, everything we do is also garnished with joy. We make sure to spark joy with our product designs, writings, and everything our hands hold. Heck, we wouldn't have a life anyway else.

Spark joy, alleviate JavaScript fatigue ... that's the vision.

The principal destination for short-form developer mobile video

When you think short bursts of information in 280 characters or less, you think Twitter.

When you think ...., you think Youtube.

When you think about staying up to date with JavaScript, your brain goes in many different directions:

  • email newsletters
  • Twitter
  • Facebook
  • Blogs
  • Youtube etc.

These are great! We're not advocating for eradicating them, but when you think of keeping up with JavaScript via short-form developer content, we want you to think Devcher.

That's the vision.

Enable millions of engineers to keep up with JavaScript

Staying up to date with the JavaScript ecosystem is kind of part of the job description.

However, this is the exact reason JavaScript fatigue plagues many.

With Devcher, we're looking to keep you up to date with technologies you love while limiting your exposure to information overload.

No, our focus isn't trapping you within the app and making sure you're always caught up in an infinite scroll. In fact, quite the opposite. You could just get by with about 20 minutes every day on the Devcher app. We call that Devcher's picks, and it's intentionally designed so you can close the app if you want afterwards.

Keep you up to date with the JavaScript ecosystem without overloading you with information... that's the vision.

Conclusion

Let's end this by reminding you of our vision. Sorry, we mean, what we dream of when we sleep:

To enable millions of engineers to keep up with JavaScript by building the principal destination for short-form developer mobile video carefully designed to spark joy and alleviate JavaScript fatigue.
